Marley started her first week at Montessori's Nothing But Fun Summer Camp. We were wondering how well she was going to do - new environment, new teachers, new friends to make. We talked about it all last week, how we were not going to "school" but "camp" on Monday. She was really excited about the change and I think it really helped that she had been to the playground a few times. From the first day, she has been loving it - and so have we. We talked about keeping her at Little People this fall since we found out she would actually get moved to the upper classroom, but I really think Marley would flip out if we took her back - she is just so happy at the Montessori school. And they are doing so many fun things at camp - a local photographer came in to show them how to use a camera and take pictures, they took a field trip to the beach and a field trip to the Butterfly Farm, they work on really fun art projects - it's been so great for her. She came home on Thursday with the jewelry box they had been working on all week - Stu had picked her up from school and he was so excited about her work, you could tell he had been talking it up with her all the way home - she ran into the house to show it to me and asked that I take her picture with it! So here it is...by the way, I knew her jewelry box was going to be yellow as she came home covered in yellow paint on Tuesday...
