Been over a week since my last post - my excuse is a combination of no laptop and lots of work. I spent a little extra money recently on advertising Island Bliss Weddings and boom! Business has exploded. And that coincided with my laptop deciding it didn't want to pick up WiFi signals anymore so it went off to the repair shop at the same time I was getting three to five new brides a day emailing me for more information, in addition to the 20 or so emails I get everyday from clients. I haven't had much of a chance to pick up the camera in the last week, so here are a few photos from the 4th of July weekend I haven't shared yet...
Baking cupcakes with Marley...who did NOT want frosting on her cupcakes, even after I put some on her lips to show her how good it was...nope, wasn't having it...
Maya during her "4th of July" portraits. For Marley's first birthday I made up a shutterfly book of her first year. Maya turns one in just 10 more days and it will be time to start her shutterfly book, so she is getting lots of camera time lately.
I thought the outfits I picked up for the girls at Kmart were very 1970s. I wasn't planning to get them matching outfits for the 4th, but I was at Kmart a couple days before and saw them for $3 each - why not? They just remind me so much of the outfits I see my siblings wearing in old photos - so I played around with the editing tools and tried to "age" the photo. What do you think? Does she look like a kid straight out of 1976?
And a more recent photo of Maya. I like to put these photos up for my friend Maddie. She says she looks at my blog and sees how cute the girls are and starts to think, "ok, maybe I do want to have a baby" and then she sees a photo like the one below and instantly changes her mind. I don't know, I this she is a pretty cute mess!
YUMMY!
