Marley turns three years old today. It still amazes me that she continues to get older while I remain ageless.
I told Marley last night as I was putting her to bed that since she is turning three, she gets to do three things today that she wants to do (and no, that is not a tradition I am starting - no 12 wishes for the 12 year old, no 17 wishes for the 17 year old...nippin' that in the bud before they become too manipulative). Anyway, I gave her a long list of options...going to the beach, eating pizza for lunch, going to the park...so Marley really seems to get it, that she can do ANYTHING she wants today...and I can see the wheels turning as she thinks over her options...I about fell out of my chair when she excitedly exclaims, "I want to NURSE!". Excuse me? Yes, that's right, "I want to nurse like a baby!" she repeats. Well, rest assured readers, nursing will NOT be one of her granted wishes!
We have a fun day at the beach planned, complete with cupcakes, presents and tutus. We leave tomorrow afternoon for CT but have a wedding in the morning before we leave, so I'll try very hard to get photos up before we leave. None of which will include nursing.
i am cracking up. seriously. love it. how did you explain that that wasn't an option or did you just move forward with a bunch of other fun ideas??
