Aunt Bailey posted some pictures that she took of her trip to St. Thomas on her Facebook page. She is a great photographer! Aunt Bails is off to UPen this fall (I swear I get UPenn and PennState completely confused...she's going to the Ivy school, not the "football" one). I wanted to share some of the photos she took:
And oh, did I mention that Stu's cousin was here for like 7 weeks this summer?! I feel bad that I didn't really blog that all that much - they were so much fun to have around. Ian and Marley are about the same age and quickly developed a brother/sister relationship (you know, friends but with fighting) and his cousin Alena was sooooo helpful to have around! With as many weddings as we had going on, it was like having a built in nanny. Although, with their Mormon backgrounds (both have left the church), we joked around about sister wives. I tell you, having a sister wife wouldn't be so bad! You don't have to pay them, food gets cooked, houses get cleaned, children get taken care of. Fundamentalist may be on to something (Stu and Alena would probably like me to point out that they were never fundamentalist and that maybe I was the only one that joked around about sister wives).
The day we left for Indiana I knew I had no more opportunities to get a group photo of the kids. They'd all be back in Portland by time we got back and it was kind of sad thinking of how much older they'll be next time they are all together. But maybe by being older that will mean they are more cooperative to group photos.
I gave up.
An hour later we were OFF to Indiana ... see Maya's interpretation of flying:
